Dermal Fillers
At Your Cosmetic Office in Encinitas, California, we are excited to offer the RHA collection of Hyaluronic acid fillers. These special dermal fillers range in density allowing for the most customizable approach to facial rejuvenation with dermal fillers on the market today.
Whether you are treating mild concerns with maximum flexibility or severe folds that require a more rigid formulation, RHA has a dermal filler that is just right for you. Double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Mario Yco has years of experience injecting dermal fillers, helping each patient look and feel their best.
What Is RHA?
The RHA Collection is a family of four different hyaluronic acid dermal filler formulations that are designed with dynamic facial movement in mind. The four dynamic formulations include:
RHA Redensity
RHA Redensity is the first and only FDA-approved filler that can be injected into both the superficial dermis and dermis to treat moderate to severe dynamic perioral rhytids. These are stubborn, deep lines that form around the mouth as a result of dynamic movement and aging.
RHA 2
RHA 2 is described as elegant softening for dynamic lines and moderate to severe wrinkles. This is the lightest of the RHA fillers and provides the most natural and soft-focused look. This product is injected into the mid-to-deep dermis and is designed to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
RHA 3
RHA 3 offers a more noticeable, yet refined smoothing for moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles. This more robust filler can help reduce the appearance of marionette lines and oral commissures. This filler is injected in the mid-to-deep layer of the dermis.
RHA 4
RHA 4 offers the most volume and support for moderate to severe dynamic folds and deeper deficits. This is great for those who want to maintain a natural look but require a little bit more support. This filler is placed in the deep dermis or subcutaneous fat layer.

Who Is a Candidate For RHA?
Ideal candidates for RHA are those individuals seeking a dynamic and natural approach to facial rejuvenation. RHA is particularly well suited for candidates wishing to address fine lines, wrinkles, and folds while maintaining a wide range of facial expressions and movements. RHA is great for those wanting a more customizable approach to correcting signs of aging on the face, as enhancements with RHA can range from soft and subtle to more striking. The best way to determine your candidacy is by scheduling a consultation with Dr. Yco at Your Cosmetic Office.
RHA Procedure
For each RHA filler, Dr. Yco will begin by cleaning the treatment area. He will then meticulously inject the product in the according dermal depth using a fine gauge needle. Most patients only feel a small pinch, but a topical anesthetic will be provided upon request.
Post- Op Care
There is very minimal to no required downtime after receiving RHA injections. Some minor swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site is common, but this should subside after a few days. Gently applying a cold compress to the treatment area can help relieve any discomfort following treatment. For the first 24 hours after injections, you should refrain from any strenuous activity, sun exposure, and touching the treatment area. Results will begin to appear over time, with the final results being visible around 2 weeks after treatment. For optimal healing, Dr. Yco may recommend hyperbaric Co2 treatments or red light therapy.
