What is EmFace?

Emface is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment designed to rejuvenate the face by lifting and tightening skin and facial muscle that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) and radiofrequency energy. It’s part of a growing trend in aesthetic procedures that aim to enhance facial appearance withoul surgery.

Emface specifically targets two main concerns of aging: the loss of facial muscle tone and the thinning of skin that can cause sagging. The treatment uses electromagnetic energy to stimulate the facial muscles, encouraging them to contract and tone. It also uses radio frequency to address the skin, which helps to improve skin texture and elasticity on the cheeks, forehead, jawline, and double chin.

EmFace Procedure

During your EmFace treatment, Dr. Mario Yco, your facial plastic surgeon, will begin by thoroughly cleansing the treatment area. The EmFace device will then be carefully applied to your skin, specifically targeting the elevator facial muscles while avoiding the depressor facial muscles. You may experience mild muscle contractions and a gentle warming sensation—most patients find the treatment soothing, similar to a relaxing facial massage.

Each session lasts about 20 minutes, and for optimal results, we recommend a series of four treatments spaced 3- 5 days apart.. The procedure is comfortable and requires no downtime, allowing you to resume your normal activities immediately afterward.

Post-Op Care

One of the most appealing aspects of EmFace is that there is no downtime required. You can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. Keep your skin hydrated with a gentle moisturiser and drink plenty of water. While makeup is fine immediately after the treatment, opt for gentle, non-comedogenic products for the first 24 hours. Follow your treatment schedule for optimal results, and contact your provider if you experience any unusual symptoms.
