What is VascuPen?
VascuPen is a minimally invasive treatment that uses 530 nm diode light energy. The light energy is converted to heat that targets and destroys visible veins on the face without hurting the surrounding areas. By removing these small veins and visible blood vessels, a brighter and more even complexion is restored.
When the light energy is absorbed by the veins, they coagulate and, over time, disappear. On top of that, by offering an adjustable spot size for the diode, the effectiveness and safety of the procedure are second to none. The device allows us to only address the vein(s) in question and offer long-term results.
This innovative treatment can address rosacea, spider veins, varicose veins, broken capillaries, cherry angiomas, and port wine stains.

Who is a Good Candidate for VascuPen?
Ideal candidates for VascuPen are generally healthy individuals with realistic expectations who have visible vascular conditions like rosacea or spider veins. It works on all skin types and skin tones, so it’s often the perfect treatment for almost all patients.
VascuPen Treatment
Treatment will begin by cleansing the area. The Vascupen wand will then be applied to the treatment area and moved along the skin to treat the vein or multiple veins. Most patients tolerate it very well, but you may notice a tingling sensation. How long treatment takes depends on the severity of the condition and how many veins are being treated. Some patients need multiple sessions to achieve optimal results.
Post-Op Care
There is very minimal downtime with Vascupen. Most patients resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. If you have any skin reactions, those will subside within a few hours.
