My career in Otolaryngology/ Head & Neck Surgery began with a General Surgery Internship through the United States Navy. I enjoyed being stationed on a ship as the sole medical doctor for two years, a two year tour in Japan and many more years in the U.S. taking care of our sailors and marines at home, as well as those returning from duty abroad. My 24 years in the military required diverse training in a number of different medical areas and my residency in Otolaryngology gave me additional training in facial plastic/reconstructive surgery which included the use of lasers.”
